Rahul, my name is Jack Oliphant and I live in Fort Collins, Colorado USA. I used to work for Arvind Kudchadker and was his neighbor when he, his brother, and Shanti were at Texas A&M in the early '60s.
Would you be so kind as to forward this email to Arvind so that I may communicate with him.
Thanks, Jack flyjack@comcast.net Skypeme at flyjackoli
Fifty years ago I had the pleasure of studying with Arvind at Birmingham (England) in 1958-1959, and lost contact after he moved to the States. It would be wonderful to meet him and Shantikula if they were to find themselves in England. Please would you pass my email address to him?

My name is Shiv Kumar and have been fortunate enough to see and to be guided by Mr. and Mrs. Kudchadker. Kudchadker Sir was the Director-General of PD Petroleum University, Gandhinagar when I joined it as a B.Tech. student.
We all love him and Shanti Ma'm and miss them a lot here.
May both of them live longer to inspire more and more people and guide them in the right direction!
He never taught me and I never even met him as such personally. But yeah, I got to hear him once at DA-IICT. Believe me, that one speech and I have never ever forgot his name, nor what he said. Really a big man.
I wonder if he can be so inspirational for me within a few minutes, how inspiring he would be for his students. :)
This is Abhimanyu Manna, a B.tech student at School Of Petroleum Technology, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar. I have been fortunate enough to be in a University that was once headed by Prof. Kudchadkar. Ever since we have had many Director Generals, not one as competent and caring as him.
Recently, we had a bit of an issue at the University, that led to an ugly protest. During such times one can but think about those who could very smoothly handle such crisis. He would easily be on the top of that list. He was very good with students and a huge inspiration to all of us here.
